Early Childhood Education Grants:  Everything You Need to Know

This workshop will help program directors and administrators identify grant opportunities in Maryland.  Participants will explore the variety of grants available and the requirements for applying.  Participants should come to this session prepared to dig in to why they want to apply for a grant, who will the grant serve, and how will the grant support and/or improve their program.

Randi Albertsen has a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Loyola University in Maryland.  Ms. Albertsen has worked in ECE settings for over 30 years.  Ms. Albertsen’s experience ranges from school age care group leader, childcare center senior staff, family childcare provider, and public school Kindergarten and Third grade teacher.  For the past 25+ years, she has been a trainer in Maryland.  Ms. Albertsen owns Innovations in Education, LLC.  Her company provides training and consulting services to the early childhood community.  Ms. Albertsen is also a curriculum developer and serves as a coach and mentor to providers and program administrators.  Ms. Albertsen has also served as a validator for the Maryland State Department of Education’s Accreditation program.  She has served on a variety of local and statewide committees to support high quality childhood initiatives.
